My 4 year old son absolutely loves this! The launcher is easy to load and launch. The fact it catapults up and out vs straight out, is a nice twist. My son absolutely loves the led cockpit when you pull back the launcher to have the chest piece light up bright white. Since it has this feature, some of his newer figures with that same led option have already taken control of the Batmobile. The wheels are great, fast, and spin easy in the kitchen. He had it sliding all over the place after opening it.

The Imaginext' DC Super Friends' Bat-Tech Racing Batmobile' is a fun little Batmobile that features a small LED inside the driver's seat that lights up the Batsymbol on Batman's chest, as well as a unique launcher that fires the disc projectiles vertically rather than horizontally like most other toys in this line. The launcher acts like a catapult and fires the discs vertically several feet forward rather than the spring-loaded horizontal firing mechanism of other toys, so the force of the projectile is less. This could be considered safer for younger children if you are worried about them playing with projectiles.

The small LED in the driver's seat is a nice touch, which lights up Batman's chest when he is seated in the seat. There is a cut-out in Batman's cape that allows the light to shine through a transparent circle in his back to illuminate the Batsymbol on his chest. Other Imaginext' playsets use this same chest illumination method in various ways, so this Batman figure should be compatible there. The only drawback to the inclusion of the LED light was the decision to use 3 LR44 watch-cell batteries rather than a standard AA or AAA battery. LR44 batteries are not something that the typical family would have on hand for replacement, and it does not allow for a rechargeable option to be used.
